HORRY CO., SC – Three people were hospitalized Thursday following a crash that appears to have involved two commercial vehicles.
According to WPDE, Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the scene at Highway 501 and Waccamaw Pines Drive at approximately 9 a.m. on December 17. At least one person had to be extricated from their vehicle, and a total of three people were taken to an area hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
A photo of the scene provided by HCFR appears to show a panel van which collided with the rear of a flatbed truck.
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety is conducting an investigation of the incident.
