MOUNT PLEASANT, SC – Local authorities identified the two people who were killed in a collision between a civilian vehicle and a Charleston County Sheriff on Highway 17 on Sunday afternoon.

According to WCBD News 2, the Charleston County Coroner’s Office released the names of the victims as 77-year-old Sandra Eisner and 85-year-old Sonny Brower.
They were in a civilian car that that collided with a Charleston County Sheriff patrol car on Highway 17 North at Bee Hive Road. The deputy was responding to a call at the time of the crash.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
