COLUMBIA, SC – A driver was killed after his 2018 Nissan crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck a 2008 BMW on Sunday night, January 10, 2021.
According to WIS, the fatal crash occurred on U.S. 21 at Fairlawn Court around 6:40 p.m.
The Nissan driver was traveling southbound on U.S. 21 when he crossed into the northbound lanes of the highway and struck the BMW. It is unclear why the driver traveled into oncoming traffic.
Police report the Nissan driver was killed in the crash and was not wearing a seat belt. They also reported that the BMW driver was wearing a seat belt. It is unclear if the BMW driver sustained injuries in the crash.
