MONCKS CORNER, SC – A former North Charleston police officer was arrested in connection to a suspected DUI crash Thursday afternoon.
According to WCSC, the two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of South Live Oak Drive and Mountain Pine Road around 2:25 p.m. on January 14, 2021.
Troopers with the Highway Patrol have not reported any injuries as a result of the crash at this time.
Jerome Edwards Clemens was arrested and charged with first-degree driving under the influence and driving under suspension. Clemens was fired from the North Charleston Police Department on Tuesday after a previously reported DUI accident.
