ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC – South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to a crash on eastbound I-26 on Tuesday afternoon.

Trooper Tyler, the Community Relations Officer for Troop 7, tweeted at 2:14 p.m. on January 19, 2021 that SCHP responded to a crash on eastbound I-26 at mile marker 156. Both lanes on eastbound I-26 were closed. Motorists were encouraged to use an alternate route. All lanes were reopened around 3:38 p.m.
Tyler did not report whether anyone was injured in the crash or how many vehicles were involved.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
