CLARENDON COUNTY, SC – One person was killed and two people were injured in a semi crash on southbound I-95 on Thursday afternoon.
According to ABC Columbia, the fatal crash took place on southbound I-95 at mile marker 122 around 12:20 p.m. on January 21, 2021.
A semi that had stopped for traffic on I-95 was struck from behind by a 2013 Honda CRV whose driver had not slowed in time.
Police report that a passenger in a rear seat of the Honda was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The person was not wearing a seat belt.
The driver and of the Honda and a front-seat passenger were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Both were wearing seat belts.
Police report the semi’s driver was uninjured and was wearing a seat belt.
