NEWBERRY, SC (NEWBERRY COUNTY) – Two people died after colliding with a tree in Newberry County early this morning, according to FOX Carolina.
The accident occurred on Boyd Crossing Road, near Glen Street Extension, at about 1:10 a.m. on January 23, when the driver of a 2013 Nissan Altima lost control of the vehicle. The Altima went off the left side of the roadway, then collided with a tree.
The driver and their passenger died at the scene.
The victims, who were not immediately identified, were reportedly not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
