ABBEVILLE COUNTY, SC – A passenger was killed in a crash that occurred due to a DUI suspect on Suber Road Friday night.
According to WSPA, the fatal accident happened on Suber Road near S.C. 284 around midnight on Friday, January 29, 2021.
A 2007 Jeep Wrangler, driven by 21-year-old Kaitlyn Naomi Kellett, was traveling westbound on Suber Road when it cross the center lane. Kellett over-corrected and the Jeep traveled off the right side of the road, hit a ditch and fence, and overturned.
Police report the passenger was ejected from the vehicle and killed.
Kellet, of Abbeville, is charged with felony DUI resulting in death. She was transported to Abbeville County Detention Center.
