JAMES ISLAND, SC – A fatal accident remains under investigation after a pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday night, reports WCSC.
According to the Charleston Police Department, the crash occurred at 7:14 PM February 18th at the intersection of Folly Road and Crosscreek Drive. An SUV hit the pedestrian while they were attempting to cross the street.
The pedestrian was severely injured and died at the scene of the accident. There is currently no information on the identity of the victim.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene, and the Charleston Police Department is continuing their investigation. No charges have yet been filed.
Traffic on Folly Road in both directions was closed early Friday morning, but has since been restored.
