ORANGEBURG CO., SC – One person has died after crashing into another car while driving the wrong way on Highway 301 Monday, reports WCSC.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway 301 near Lariot Road at 12:20 AM on March 22nd. A 2004 Honda Civic was traveling south in a northbound lane when it collided with a 2015 Chevy Camaro.
The driver of the Honda died at the scene of the accident. The coroner’s office has not yet released their identity.
The driver of the Chevrolet was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. Their condition remains unknown.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
