BATESBURG, SC – One man has died after a single-vehicle accident in Batesburg Thursday morning, reports WJBF.
According to the Aiken County Coroner’s Office, the crash took place in the 2100 block of Old 96 Indian Trail around 6:50 AM on March 25th. The driver of a 2004 Nissan SUV lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway. The Nissan then overturned before crashing into a culvert.
The driver had not been wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. They died at the scene. The coroner’s office has identified the victim as 25-year-old Dexter Vallet.
A toxicology report is pending. South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
