DILLON CO., SC – One person has died and another remains in the hospital after a fatal crash early Friday morning, reports WMBF.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on I 95 southbound near mile marker 183 around 2:30 AM on March 26th. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and ran off the right side of the highway before crashing into several trees.
The driver had been wearing a seatbelt. They were taken to the hospital with injuries.
The passenger had not been wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene. The coroner’s office has not yet released their identity.
