OCONEE COUNTY, SC – Three people, including a 15-year-old teenager, were injured following a collision involving a forklift in Oconee County yesterday, according to FOX Carolina.
The accident happened on March 26 on Wells Highway near a Dollar General, as a forklift was being taken from a truck and onto the roadway.
The driver of a 2015 Camaro swerved to avoid a collision and ran off the side of the roadway. The vehicle collided with a fire hydrant, then with stabilizing wires near a utility pole.
The driver of a second Camaro, a 2012, collided with the forklift.
A 15-year-old child who was a passenger in the 2012 Camaro was airlifted to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.
The two drivers of the Camaros received minor wounds in the crash.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
