CHEROKEE SPRINGS, SC (SPARTANBURG COUNTY) – A young man crossing the street was fatally struck by a pickup truck in Spartanburg County late last night, according to FOX Carolina.
The crash occurred at 11:07 p.m. on April 9, south of the community of Cherokee Springs, on Highway 221 near Mount Pleasant Road.
A young man was trying to cross the highway when he was struck by the driver of a pickup truck.
The victim, who has not yet been positively identified by authorities, died as a result.
It is unclear if the driver remained at the scene.
Authorities are asking those who may have witnessed the crash to come forward and help them identify the victim.
The accident remains under investigation.
