MYRTLE BEACH, SC – A 28-year-old man was killed and another person remains in the hospital after a serious boating accident Sunday evening, reports WMBF.
The accident reportedly took place on the Intracoastal Waterway. Horry County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene at Watergate Drive around 8:30 PM on April 11th. The exact circumstances of the boating accident are not known at this time.
The 28-year-old man died at the scene. The coroner’s office has yet to identify him.
One other person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their identity and condition is unknown.
The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
