GEORGETOWN, SC – Minor injuries were reported after a tractor-trailer jackknifed on the Highway 17 bridge Monday afternoon, reports WCSC.
According to Georgetown Police, the single-vehicle accident occurred on the Highway 17 northbound bridge over the Black and Pee Dee Rivers around 2:00 PM on April 27th. A tractor-trailer crashed into the railing and subsequently spilled fuel onto the bridge and into the water below.
Midway Fire Rescue states that there were minor injuries suffered in the crash, but the identity and condition of the driver remain unknown.
