LYMAN, SC – A woman was critically injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning, and the driver has since been charged with felony DUI according to FOX Carolina.
South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the accident took place around 1:30 AM on May 2nd. The exact location of the accident has not been reported. The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Bryson Owens, veered off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and then exited the roadway to the left where the vehicle crashed into a tree and overturned.
The passenger, Alyssa Weatherman, was severely injured and taken to Spartanburg Regional Hospital. She is currently in stable condition.
Owens suffered only minor injuries. He has been charged with having an open container in his vehicle, possession of alcohol by a minor, and felony DUI.
