JAMESTOWN, SC – One person has died and another remains in the hospital after their vehicle collided head-on Tuesday morning, reports WCSC.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident took place on S.C. 41 near Farewell Corner Road around 5:00 AM on May 4th. A 2009 Chevy Cobalt crossed over the center line while traveling north on S.C. 41 and struck a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado head-on in the southbound lane.
The driver of the Cobalt sadly died at the scene. The coroner’s office has not yet identified the victim.
The driver of the Chevrolet was injured and taken to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
