BEREA, SC (GREENVILLE COUNTY) – An 11-year-old autistic boy suffered multiple injuries after being struck by a driver in Greenville County on Thursday night, according to FOX Carolina.
The crash occurred on N Franklin Road at about 10 p.m. on May 6, as an 11-year-old autistic boy was walking along the street. According to a GoFundMe raising money for the child’s medical bills, the boy had wandered from his home.
The child was struck by a 20-year-old driver with a 1-year-old passenger.
The boy, who is not being identified here due to his age, sustained multiple broken limbs, a broken wrist, and internal injuries in the crash. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and is likely facing multiple surgeries.
The driver and passenger were not reported as injured.
