SPARTANBURG, SC – A 29-year-old driver was killed in a single-vehicle crash in north Spartanburg yesterday morning, according to WYFF 4.
The collision occurred on Sunbeam Road (Business 85), near Bryant Road, at about 6:30 a.m. on May 15, when the driver of a 2000 Toyota sedan, 29-year-old Spartanburg resident Keri Marie Wood, went off the left side of the roadway.
She overcorrected her vehicle, sending it off the opposite side of the highway. She then crashed into an embankment and her vehicle overturned.
Wood, who was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. She died as a result of the crash.
No other people were hurt in the collision.
