SUMTER COUNTY, SC – A 27-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle collision on Highway 76 in Sumter County on Friday morning, according to WIS TV.
The crash occurred on eastbound U.S. 76 at about 6:30 a.m. on May 21, when 27-year-old driver Jay McBride went off the left side of the roadway. His vehicle crashed, then overturned multiple times, causing McBride to be ejected.
McBride, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, died due to total blunt force injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
