CHARLESTON, SC – An accident shut down several westbound lanes on I 526 Wednesday morning, reports WCSC.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place on the General William C. Westmoreland Bridge connecting West Ashley and North Charleston on May 26th. The exact circumstances of the accident remain unknown.
Reports of injuries are still pending.
All westbound lanes have since reopened.
