COLUMBIA, SC – 27-year-old Damon Watts Jaynes was killed in a single-vehicle accident late Wednesday night, according to ABC Columbia.
The Lexington County Coroner’s Office reports that the accident occurred in the 400 block of Dixired Road at 11:55 PM on May 26th. Jaynes’ vehicle ran off the side of the road where it crashed into an embankment and overturned.
Jaynes reportedly died at the scene.
A passenger, who had been wearing a seatbelt, suffered critical injuries and was taken to the hospital. Their identity and condition are unknown.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
