GREENVILLE, SC – A woman on a run with her dog was fatally struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run crash in Greenville yesterday morning, according to WSPA.
The crash occurred on Augusta Street, near Augusta Place, at about 7 a.m. on May 29, as 38-year-old Greenville woman Brittany Langley Lawson was running with her dog on the sidewalk. They were then struck by a dark SUV which had crossed over the center line and into oncoming lanes of traffic, then went onto the sidewalk.
The occupants of the SUV fled the scene on foot.
Lawson and her dog died at the scene.
