CLARENDON CO., SC – A 17-year-old was killed in a single-vehicle accident Sunday morning, reports The Sumter Item.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place on I 95 southbound in Manning around 8:00 AM on June 6th. The 17-year-old, who is not identified here due to their minor status, had been driving a box truck south before the vehicle veered off the road and into the median where it collided with several trees.
The teenager was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and sadly succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
