JAMES ISLAND, SC – A motorcyclist is dead following a collision on James Island on Friday night that may have been related to reckless driving, according to WCBD News.
The collision happened near Fort Johnson Road and Seaside Lane at about 7:10 p.m. on May 11, as the 32-year-old operator of a motorcycle was reportedly driving in a reckless manner.
He lost control of his vehicle and fell off the motorcycle, then collided with a traffic sign.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was taken to the hospital. There, he succumbed to his severe injuries and was pronounced dead.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to authorities’ investigation.
