SPARTANBURG CO., SC – One person has died and another has been injured after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday evening, reports WYFF.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on I 26 eastbound at the SC 146 exit around 6:30 PM. 82-year-old Albert Williams was attempting to turn left onto the exit ramp when a Ford pickup truck collided with the passenger side of his vehicle.
Williams, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, sadly died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Ford truck was injured and taken to the hospital.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
