JOHNS ISLAND, SC – A juvenile passenger was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident early Thursday morning, reports ABC 4.
According to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place in the 4400 block of Betsy Kerrison Parkway around 2:30 AM on June 17th. The vehicle exited the roadway at high speed and collided head-on with a tree.
The juvenile passenger was ejected from the backseat and sadly died at the scene of the crash.
The driver and the front seat passenger, who are also reportedly under the age of 18, were severely injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The accident remains under investigation by the Traffic Bureau.
