WARE SHOALS, SC (GREENWOOD COUNTY) – A pedestrian was severely injured in a hit-and-run accident in Greenwood County late last night, according to WIS TV.
The crash occurred west of Ware Shoals on W Main Street, near Jones Court, at about 11:50 p.m. on June 19, when the driver of a blue or gray 2011-2015 Kia Optima collided with a pedestrian, then fled the scene.
The pedestrian sustained severe injuries in the accident.
Authorities are asking the public for help in identifying the vehicle, which may have sustained damage to its front bumper and fender during the accident. Those with any information on the crash are asked to contact the South Carolina Highway Patrol at *HP (*47) or 864-587-4700.
