LEXINGTON CO., SC – 20-year-old Andrew Day has died and two others have been injured in a head-on collision Tuesday night, reports ABC Columbia.
According to the Lexington County Coroner’s Office, the fatal crash took place in the 4700 block of Edmund Highway at 8:43 PM on June 29th. Day had been driving a 2013 Chevy Cruze east when a westbound 2000 GMC Yukon swerved out of their lane and hit his vehicle head-on.
Day, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the Yukon as well as the passenger of Day’s vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
