FAIRFIELD CO., SC – South Carolina Department of Natural Resources continues to search for the boat involved in a two-vehicle collision that injured one person Sunday, reports WLTX.
The collision reportedly took place on Lake Wateree near Wateree Creek around 10:00 PM on July 4th. An aluminum fishing boat collided with a ski boat and subsequently fled the scene.
The ski boat was heavily damaged, and one person aboard suffered a head injury as a result of the accident.
The fishing boat allegedly had four occupants. Two female occupants were thrown from the vehicle and then pulled back onto the boat before the driver fled.
