LEXINGTON, SC – A man died in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday, July 21, when his car crashed into a tree and caught fire.
According to The State, the crash happened on the 2000 block of South Lake Drive around 12:30 p.m. Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher confirmed the man’s death but hasn’t released his identity.
Officials are investigating the cause of the crash. Lexington County Fire, South Carolina Highway Patrol, EMS and the Sheriff’s office responded to the scene.
The man’s identity will be released to the public after his family is informed.
