BERKELEY COUNTY, SC – A motorcyclist died of his injuries after being struck by a Chevrolet Trailblazer on Monday, July 26.
According to Live 5 News, the victim has been identified as Samuel Wade Benefield, 59. The crash happened on US-17A near Cypress Gardens Road. The driver of the Chevy Trailblazer lost control while heading north on the highway, and hit Benefield’s Harley.
Benefield and the driver of the Chevy were taken to the hospital with injuries. Benefield died at the hospital.
Officials are still investigating.
